Joseph
W. Beasley
Born in Sylacauga, Alabama, Mr. Beasley received in
Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University
of Florida, a Master of Science in Aeronautics & Astronautics from
the University of Washington and his Juris Doctorate with high honors
from the University of Florida.
Mr. Beasley has achieved an A-V rating from Martindale-Hubbell
and is a member of the American Bar Association and the Academy of Florida
Trial Lawyers.
He has spoken at CLE and professional organization
seminars. Most recently he presented before the National Association of
Certified Valuation Analysts on expert testimony involving business valuation
disputes, the Council on Management and Education Seminars, concerning
developing employment policies and practices relating to the mentally
unstable employee and recent ADA cases; the Lorman Education Services
Seminar on employment related records and their use in litigation. He
has also lectured on employee fraud detection and prevention at a National
Institute for Accountants.
Mr. Beasley is admitted to the Florida Bar, the U.S.
District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida,
the Eastern District of Michigan, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals, the
U.S. Supreme Court and the U.S. Appeals Court for the Federal Circuit
in Washington, D.C.
His practice concentrates on civil litigation, arbitration
and administrative proceedings involving matters of a commercial nature,
including securities, antitrust, employment discrimination, eminent domain,
including environmental and land use issues, complex business and corporate
disputes, director and officer liability, professional malpractice, personal
injury and products liability matters.
Prior to practicing law, Mr. Beasley worked for Boeing
Aircraft Company in a specialized group that developed and built computer
simulations for designing and building future aircraft, future space vehicles,
missile and laser systems and components for controlling these types of
products.
Mr. Beasley resides in Miami with his wife and
enjoys traveling, marathon and long distance running, handball, snow skiing,
karate, windsurfing, diving, sailing and biking.
Joseph W. Beasley has been appointed as a member of the Professional Ethics committee of the Florida Bar.
